Wechselt Kevin De Bruyne zu FC Chelsea?

Chelsea have reportedly lodged a £9million bid with Racing Genk in an attempt to prize away Kevin De Bruyne.
The new offer comes hot on the back of the Blues initial £5.3million offer, which was immediately thrown out by the Belgian club. Genk are resigned to losing their highly-rated left winger, although they’re hoping any deal struck with Chelsea can result in the 19-year-old being loaned back to them for at least another season.

Anderlecht are also said to be keen on De Bruyne, and previous reports have suggested that he’d be included in a complicated player-plus-cash deal involving Romelu Lukaku.

Chelsea also want to sign Kevin de Bruyne, the 19-year-old Genk and Belgium left-winger, and his representative will be at the talks in Monaco. Chelsea's intention would be to loan De Bruyne straight out, with Anderlecht keen to take him, though Genk would probably refuse to help their rivals. Complicating matters further is the notion that Anderlecht could use the proceeds of the Lukaku sale to sign De Bruyne permanently.

Chelsea have suggested a loan to Vitesse Arnhem in the Netherlands but De Bruyne considers that a step down. He helped his club to the Belgian title and, at present, he can look forward to playing in next season's Champions League. Genk would prefer to be the beneficiaries of any loan back.

Im vergangenen Sommer gab es intensive Gespräche zwischen Genk und Chelsea, doch die Londoner wollten die geforderte Transfersumme nicht bezahlen. Dabei könnte es ein ähnliches Transfermodell wie mit Thibaut Courtois geben. Der Torhüter wurde von Chelsea im Sommer verpflichtet, dann aber sofort weiterverliehen.

De Bruyne told Het Nieuwsblad: "It is the intention to find something else at the end of the season. Genk knows that, I have already told them last summer.

"If it continues as it is right now, I won't expect any problems. Only Genk demands a lot of money for me.

"I am just a player from the Belgian league. Genk demands a lot of money, maybe even too much.

"I don't know what will happen now.

"But as Genk request a lot of money it will be difficult to move on to a European side. If a club can pay that amount of money, you will automatically play for a very big club."

"However, you never know if there will come an offer that can't be refused. However, for me it would be better to end the season at Genk and then make the step."
