Dundee United FC --- The Terrors

Veteran defender Darren Dods and midfielders Morgaro Gomis and Prince Buaben are the latest Dundee United players to sign contract extensions.

The trio have committed themselves to the United until May 2011.

Dods' contract was due to expire in the summer, while Gomis and Buaben were already under contract until 2010.

Youngster ready to shine

Striker David Goodwillie says he's ready to get his career back on track at Dundee United after being in the limelight at an early age.

The 19-year-old became the SPL's youngest ever goalscorer back in 2006, when he came off the bench and netted against Hibs. Since then he has played very little football for the Terrors and the Scottish under-21 international feels that experience did him more harm than good.

After spending time on loan at Raith Rovers, the youngster believes he is now ready to stand up and break into the United first team properly.

The talented striker has been awarded for his hard work with a new contract by boss Craig Levein and is eager to pay back his manager for the faith shown in him.

Dundee United midfielder Scott Robertson could be out for the rest of the season.

The recently-capped 23-year-old Scotland international has been diagnosed with osteo pubitis, which causes abdominal and groin pain.

Robertson underwent a scan on the injury on Thursday.

And, after receiving the results on Friday, manager Craig Levein said he will be out for at least three months and may not feature again this term.

Dundee United manager Craig Levein has successfully secured Celtic defender Paul Caddis on a loan deal until the end of the season.

Dundee United striker Jon Daly is facing up to 12 months on the sidelines after suffering a double cruciate ligament tear.

Daly was injured in United's 2-2 draw with Hibernian last Saturday after a challenge by defender Chris Hogg.

The 26-year-old suffered a posterior cruciate ligament injury in 2007 which ruled him out for six months after arriving at Tannadice from Hartlepool.

His injury will be assessed to determine if he requires surgery.

Town versatile striker Danny Cadamarteri could be possibly on his way to Scottish Premier League side Dundee United.

The 29-year old is out of contract with the Terriers in June this year but Town manager Lee Clark has been in talks with the former Everton player over a new contract.

Dundee United manager Craig Levin was at the Galpharm on Monday to watch Town's 1-0 win over Carlisle United.

Rumour is that Cadamarteri has signed a pre-contract agreement with the Terrors.
