Egypt's youth national team defeated their Iraqi counterparts 1-0 in a friendly match held today, Saturday, at the National Teams Center, located at the Egyptian Football Association headquarters in 6th of October City.

Mahmoud Hassan scored the only goal of the match in the 40th minute of the first half.

The match was attended by Walid Darwish and Mohamed Abu Hussein, members of the Egyptian Football Association's board of directors, and Dr. Mustafa Azzam, the association's general secretary.

The two teams had previously drawn 1-1 in a friendly match on February 24th, prior to today's encounter, as part of the Egyptian youth team's preparations, under the leadership of their coach Wael Riad, for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has issued its final ruling regarding the Egyptian Premier League champion for last season.

Pyramids FC had filed a complaint with CAS challenging Al Ahly's claim to the Egyptian Premier League title.
Al Ahly announced on its official website that the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has ruled in favor of the Red Devils, confirming their full right to the Egyptian Premier League title for last season and rejecting their rivals' appeal.

Pyramids FC had objected to the Egyptian Premier League's decision to award the Cairo Derby to Zamalek due to Al Ahly's absence from the match.

Pyramids FC initially demanded a three-point deduction from Al Ahly's tally before filing a complaint with CAS, which ultimately upheld Al Ahly's claim to the title.

The final round of the league saw Al Ahly celebrate their title with a resounding 6-0 victory over Pharco, bringing their points total to 58. Pyramids FC players also celebrated their title win after defeating Ceramica Cleopatra 5-1, reaching 56 points.

The technical staff of the Egyptian U-17 national team (born in 2009), led by Hussein Abdel Latif, announced the squad that will participate in the upcoming training camp at the National Teams Center in 6th of October City. This camp is in preparation for the North African Football Union (UNAF) qualifiers for the 21st edition of the U-17 Africa Cup of Nations, which kicks off in Libya on March 24th.

The squad consists of 26 players and is as follows:
