Blues swoop for striker

Former Celtic prospect Luke Donnelly put pen to paper tonight to become Stranraer's latest summer signing.

An exciting creative attacker with an eye for goal, Luke was part of the youth ranks at Celtic until 2017.

Capped five times for Scotland at U17 level, the 22 year old gained first team experience on loan at East Stirlingshire, Alloa Athletic and Greenock Morton.

His move to Stair Park comes after an impressive season at Queen's Park, during which he scored 8 goals in 21 starts, including a fine finish against us at Hampden back in January.

Adam arrives

Former Everton and Motherwell defender Adam Cummins has signed for Stranraer.

A native of Liverpool, Adam spent his early career at Goodison Park, before moving north to make 33 top-flight appearances for the Steelmen.

The Englishman gained further first team experience on loan at Dundee, Ayr United and Stirling Albion, and spent a year in Wales with Bangor City after leaving Fir Park on a permanent basis in 2015.

The 25 year old joins us fresh from two seasons at Queen's Park, having scored an impressive 10 goals last term on the way to being crowned their supporters' Player of the Year.

Ashmore signs for Stranraer

Former Rangers prospect Max Ashmore has become the latest recruit at Stranraer.

The left-footed midfielder signed a one year contract at pre-season training, and joins us after a year at Ross County.

Ashmore was captain for Rangers' U20s development side, playing alongside the likes of Dylan Dykes, during which time he operated primarily as a holding midfielder.

Blues clinch Layne signing

Powerful striker Isaac Layne has signed for Stranraer following a successful trial spell.

Still just 23, Layne is entering his fifth season in Scottish football, having arrived at Alloa Athletic in January 2015 following spells at Southend United and Hayes & Yeading.

A product of the youth system at English Championship side Brentford, Layne has significant physical attributes which make him a handful for any defence.

Trialist wins deal

Former Hearts and Dundee prospect Ian Smith has signed for Stranraer following a successful trial.

Ian is the brother of fellow summer recruit David, and joins us on a one year deal.

Celts prospect signs

CELTIC prospect Ciaran Diver has joined Stranraer after the clubs finalised a deal this afternoon.

The 18 year old striker arrives at Stair Park on loan until 7 January 2019 after rising through the youth system at the Glasgow club.

Blues supporters of a certain age will remember Ciaran's father Danny, who was a very good striker for the club and several others at our level.

Killie duo arrive

Stranraer today completed the signing of two promising youngsters on loan from Kilmarnock.

Highly rated 18 year old Innes Cameron has made 5 Premiership outings for the Rugby Park side.

The forward is capped for Scotland at U17 level, and was recently selected for Billy Stark's U19 squad.

He is joined by Daniel Higgins, who has first team appearances to his name for both Kilmarnock and former club Dundee.

Blues complete PJ signing

STRANRAER tonight completed the signing of Celtic starlet Paul Joseph Crossan on loan until 7 January 2019.

The exciting young forward joins us after a successful loan spell at Alloa Athletic last season, making 29 appearances for the Wasps on the way to promotion.

O'Keefe signs

SAINT MIRREN forward Conor O'Keefe has become the first new signing of the January transfer window for Stranraer.

The 20 year old joined up with his Blues team mates at training on Thursday night to put pen to paper, having left the Paisley club a day earlier.
