Saints midfielder arrives

ST JOHNSTONE midfielder Ali McCann will be in the squad to face Dumbarton on Saturday after he put pen to paper on a loan deal at Stair Park.

Reserves captain McCann made his senior debut on 29 January 2018 as a second half substitute in a 4-0 win over Albion Rovers in the Scottish Cup.

The 19 year old joins us until the end of the season, having made six appearances for the Premiership side since joining as a youngster in 2012.

Dale joins us from junior side Renfrew after agreeing terms for the coming season.

Stranraer have announced four new signings for the 2019/20 season...

Former Elgin City left-back Jordan Allan moves to Stair Park after leaving Stirling Albion while three others players are returning.

Scott Robertson (Airdrieonians), Grant Gallagher (Airdrieonians) and Ryan Thomson (Dumbarton) will all link up with Stevie Farrell's team in the summer.

Blues snap up striker Muir

We are delighted to welcome former Annan Athletic and Stenhousemuir striker Tommy Muir as our first new signing of the 2021/22 season.

Hailing from just down the A75 in Dalbeattie, Tommy made the step up to the SPFL after his goalscoring exploits for Dalbeattie Star brought him to the attention of Annan boss Peter Murphy.

New management team appointed

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Jamie Hamill as first team manager.

Jamie’s experience is second to none, with over 200 appearances across ten seasons in the top flight, many as club captain.

Since arriving at Stair Park, the former Hearts and Kilmarnock man has combined his captaincy with increasing responsibility on the coaching side, becoming first team coach in 2019.

Hamill will be assisted by Darryl Duffy, who recently completed his UEFA B Licence and has been a key figure in the dressing room since arriving last summer, having amassed a wealth of knowledge from his extensive career in Scotland, England and overseas.

Finally, having recorded his 250th appearance for Stranraer this past year, fan favourite Scott Robertson will step up as first team coach/player.

Killie youngster earns deal

Jamie Hamill has moved to add former Kilmarnock youth player Craig Ross, as the new boss continues to build his squad for the coming season.

The promising young defender joins us having spent last season on loan at Kilwinning Rangers, where he played alongside ex-Blues wide man Sam McCloskey.

Having been in on trial for the past few weeks, the 19 year old scored our third goal on Saturday with a well-placed header.

Langan is next to sign

Former Dumbarton midfielder Ruaridh Langan has signed for the coming season following a successful trial.

Having risen though the Greenock Morton youth academy to become Under 20s captain, Ruaridh made his senior debut for the Inverclyde outfit in July 2017.

Moore the merrier

22 June 2021

Our third and final signing of the afternoon is pacy winger Joe Moore.

The 20 year old joins us after two seasons at Airdrieonians, during which he spent time on loan at Cumbernauld Colts and Albion Rovers.

A former Hibs youth product, Joe scored our second goal against Darvel on Saturday and was denied only by the woodwork at Kilwinning last night.
