Selbst die öffentlichen Aussagen von SAF waren doch von Anfang an klipp und klar. Wir haben zunächst KEINE klare Nummer 1, auf mittel- und langfristige Sicht spielt aber de Gea bei uns Stamm. Das weiß der Junge auch. Waren wieder die Gebrüder Grimm am Werk, denk ich mal..

SAF wurde übrigens auf der PK auf James Rodriguez angesprochen, seine trockene Antwort:

Ich hoffe ja, dass an dem Strootman-Gerücht viel mehr Substanz ist.

Die Sache mit Rio ist aus Sicht United's beendet. SAF hat mit Rio gesprochen und alles ist geklärt.

It was a communication issue. He felt I should have spoken to him on Friday and I didn't anticipate that he'd have a problem wearing the shirt. My advice is to him is that I always feel a union is stronger than an individual. It's important he airs his grievances to the right people, the FA. It's been a communication issue more than anything else. We've resolved the situation, there's no lingering problems and we move on. That's the end of the matter."

Regarding his team for tomorrow the United manager adds: "I'm not playing Rio. I'm making a few changes. I'm leaving out Rio and Patrice Evra. We have a big game against Chelsea [to think about on Sunday]. We've got Ashley Young back and he'll be involved tomorrow. We've got Nani, Valencia, Giggs... plenty of wide players. I have an issue in terms of picking the team. Hopefully I get it right."

Sir Alex believes Rio Ferdinand can carry on playing for another "two or three years" when asked about the defender's future given his contract is up at the end of the season. "We've always adopted the policy of offering them [the older players] one-year contracts. I think Rio could play for two or three more years. He has different issues to Paul [Scholes] and Ryan [Giggs] in terms of the injuries he's had. He's not as quick as he was but that's not a problem for me - the experience he has in that position is more important to me and he's still a great footballer. I didn't know his contract was up at the end of the season. Now you've made me panic!"

Sir Alex has just been asked about Porto attacker James Rodriguez and United's potential interest in him. The boss joked: "As far as James Rodriguez is concerned, I hope it's not true because it costs a fortune to get a player from Porto!

The manager has some words of encouragement and praise for the man next to him, Rafael. "He's maturing and learning all the time and he's blessed with great enthusiasm. He has all the qualities - skill, speed... he has all these things and his maturity has brought them out. In the past he's been impulsive and over-committed himself. He's maturing fantastically now."

Hätte eigentlich gedacht Smalling wäre früher wieder zurück. Schade.

Finde auch dass sich Rafael toll entwickelt hat. Wird sich bestimmt noch weiter entwickeln, für mich schon einer der besten RV der Liga.

Hoffe auf folgende Aufstellung für morgen:

De Gea
Rafael Evans Wootton Büttner
Nani Cleverley Anderson Welbeck/Young
Kagawa
Chicharito

Schwierig zu sagen, wie heute aufgestellt wird, auch abseits der Back-4 Frage. Man kann davon ausgehen, dass Braga versuchen wird zu kontern, das können sie gut, das erwartet Fergie. Auswärts sind sie stark, nicht jeder gewinnt bei Gala 2:0. Das heißt einer wie Fletcher vor der Abwehr kann sehr wichtig sein. Andererseits hat SAF ja gemeint, dass er die Qual der Wahl hat, bei der Auswahl an Wingern.

Vielleicht also einfach ein 4-4-1-1 mit Fletcher in einer defensiven ZM Rolle?

4-4-1-1 mit Fletch könnt ich mir auch gut vorstellen. Ist aber heute wieder finsterstes Rätselraten. Heimspiel. CL. Schweres Spiel am Wochenende. Die grandiose Maxime von Sir Alex Kondition und Schnelligkeit der Erfahrung unterzuordnen...

Ich hoffe, dass Nani und Young ma wieder die Chance bekommen, heiß zu laufen. Hoffe auch Giggs heute zu sehen, weil das nen Einsatz am WE wohl ausschließen würde...

Eigentlich hätt ich für heute auf den Diamanten getippt. Clev, Ando, Fletch wärn ja eigentlich ma wieder dran. Aber da Fergie seine Außenspieler so explizit erwähnt hat, wirds wohl anders kommen. Vielleicht dann am WE der Diamant mit Carrick, Scholes und X. Mit Scholes rechne ich gegen Chelsea fest. Erfahrung und so... :/:

Denke aber, dass wir uns heute ordentlich präsentieren werden und einen ungefährdeten Sieg einfahren werden. Dass er ästhetisch anspruchsvoll wird, darf denke ich bezweifelt werden ^^

Na ist zwar nur Goal.com, aber SAF war bezüglich Rückkehrern von Verletzungen nie sonderlich genau.
